Certified Information Communication Technology (C I C T)

EXAMINATION

The CICT foundation and professional examinations are held twice annually in

CICT FOUNDATION EXAMINATION

MODULE 1

1. Introduction to computing
2 . Computer Mathematics
3 . Foundations of Accounting

MODULE 2

4
a. Computer Applications to Business (Theory paper)
b. Computer Applications to Business (Practical paper)
5. Introduction to Entrepreneurship Studies
6. Introduction of Information Technology

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Foundation Examination
A person wishing to be registered as a student for the Certified Information
Communication Technology (CICT) - Foundation examination must show
evidence of being a holder of the following minimum qualifications:
a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) Examination with
an aggregate average of grade D+ (D Plus)
b) A pass in either KATC / KAME Intermediate Level
c) Such other qualification as may be approved by the Board

MODE OF STUDY

The course will be offered on full time basis from
8.30am -5.00pm Monday to Friday
Twice a year (January and July) One elective subject (non examinable), Moral and Ethical Education including recreational (sports) will be provided during the course.

FEES STRUCTURE

Payable on the first day
Registration fee KShs. 1,000
Caution money KShs. 1,000 (Refundable)
Library fee KShs. 500
Student card KShs. 500
Tuition Fee
KShs.18,000 per term in lump sum or in
two installments as follows:
Payable on the first day KShs. 10,000
Payable on the 2nd month KShs. 9,000

Registration fees KShs. 3,000
Student Identity card KShs. 400
Exam fee KShs. 2,000


June and December. The foundation examination is divided into two (2)
modules of three (3) subjects each. The professional examination is divided into
three (3) parts of two (2) modules each, where each module consists of three (3) subjects each. A candidate may attempt one (1) module or two (2) consecutive modules in both foundation and professional examinations. Candidates are not allowed to enter for a higher module before completing a lower one.
